Welcome to the CashCards.io website and platform (including all applications, web applications, webpages, subdomains and related services) (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by CashCards.io (Pty) Ltd (“CashCards.io”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”).

The Site has been created to:
 (i) provide information about CashCards.io; and
 (ii) provide access to digital payment and money transfer services (the “CashCards.io Services” or “Services”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your use of the Site is subject to these Terms and Conditions. By using the Site, you agree to them.

We may update these terms at any time, and changes take effect once published.

If you do not accept these terms, you should not use the Site or Services.

2. Eligibility

  • Services are available to South African users only
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You may only register and use the Services in your personal capacity

3. Registration and Account Security

You will be required to:

  • Register using your mobile number (username)
  • Create a secure password
  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information

You agree to:

  • Keep your login details confidential
  • Notify io immediately if your account is compromised

4. South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Requirements

CashCards.io operates under applicable exchange control regulations.

By using the Services, you confirm that:

  • All information provided is true and accurate
  • Funds are used for lawful purposes
  • You comply with your R1 million annual discretionary allowance
  • Transactions are not self-to-self transfers
  • Required information may be shared with regulatory authorities (e.g. SARB, FIC, SARS)

CashCards.io may suspend or close accounts and report to authorities if false information is detected.

5. FICA Compliance

CashCards.io is required by law to collect and store:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income
  • Selfie verification
  • Permit (if applicable)

You agree that:

  • These documents may be processed by authorised third-party providers
  • Data may be shared with regulators upon request
  • Data may be stored outside South Africa where required

You may withdraw consent, but this will terminate your use of the Services.

6. Payments

Payments may be made via:

  • EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer)
  • Approved payment methods within the platform

Important:

  • Payments must be in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Incorrect references or payment details may delay transactions
  • Exchange rates are confirmed at the time of transaction creation

CashCards.io reserves the right to:

  • Adjust exchange rates
  • Reject or delay transactions if payment conditions are not met

7. Fees

CashCards.io charges a service fee:

  • Clearly displayed before confirming a transaction
  • Inclusive of VAT
  • Deducted from the transaction amount

Fees may be updated at any time.

8. Pay-Outs

  • Pay-outs are typically processed within 24 hours after payment confirmation
  • Delivery options vary by destination and method
  • io works with third-party partners to complete transactions

CashCards.io is not liable for:

  • Delays caused by partners
  • Technical failures outside its control

Uncollected funds may:

  • Be returned to your wallet
  • Be cancelled after 30 days
  • Be treated as unclaimed after 3 years in accordance with law

9. Cancellations

You may cancel a transaction if:

  • Payment has not been completed; and
  • The pay-out has not been processed

If funds were received but not paid out:

  • Your wallet will be credited accordingly

10. Recipient Information

You must ensure all recipient details are accurate, including:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Bank details

CashCards.io is not responsible for incorrect transfers due to incorrect information.

11. Disclaimer of Liability

Services are provided “as is”.

CashCards.io does not guarantee:

  • Continuous or uninterrupted service
  • Instant transaction processing

We are not liable for:

  • Delays due to banking systems or networks
  • Partner failures
  • Indirect or consequential losses

12. Privacy

CashCards.io takes reasonable steps to protect your information, but:

  • Data transmission is at your own risk
  • Security cannot be guaranteed 100%

13. Restricted Activities

You may NOT use CashCards.io for:

  • Fraud or illegal activity
  • Money laundering
  • Spam or unsolicited messaging
  • Misrepresentation or impersonation
  • Harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
  • Pyramid schemes or “get rich quick” programs

CashCards.io may:

  • Freeze or seize funds
  • Suspend or terminate accounts

14. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site is owned or licensed by CashCards.io and protected by law.

You may only use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify CashCards.io against:

  • Any loss or damage arising from misuse of the Services
